CEFI event December 1st 2021

We are delighted to announce CEFI’s first event!

The event will take place on Wednesday 1st of December at 6pm Irish time. The session will be an opportunity for CEFI to share its aims and plans with those involved in Community Energy projects in Ireland.

There will be 2 speakers presenting at this webinar, representatives from 3 Counties Energy Agency (3CEA) and LochemEnergie.

3 Counties Energy Agency is committed to supporting every energy user in using energy more efficiently, monitoring energy use and towards a greater choice of renewable energy sources. They are a non-profit, independent partner energy agency for the Local Authorities of Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and most recently Waterford. Their team of energy experts have extensive knowledge and experience in accelerating energy projects, energy auditing, energy management, energy efficiency, grant funding support, integration of renewable energies, feasibility studies and energy awareness training for all of our clients. They work across all sectors in the South East region enabling local communities to become sustainable as they see this as important to the future management of our energy provision and use.

LochemEnergie

LochemEnergie was founded in 2011 as a citizens cooperative in the rural area of Lochem. They celebrated their tenth anniversary with more than 1,000 members, 350 clients for energy delivery, 6 staff members (3 Full time employees), 60 active volunteers and 8 board members. LochemEnergie has invested more than €1.2 million in small solar parks and PV on rental houses. LochemEnergie always embraces innovation projects such as low-head hydropower, e-carsharing, heat projects from asphalt, neighbourhood approach, etc. Innovation projects bring funds to grow as a professional organisation.
